Beschreibung

As a scientific body composed of members acting in various fields (academics, practitioners, public officials, researchers, and scholars), SEPOX contributes substantially to the research and development of spatial planning policies and actions for urban and rural areas and other regions of specific characteristics, highlighting the importance of an interdisciplinary approach. SEPOX holds a social and advisory role to participate in the official administrative bodies responsible for formulating spatial policies. Among others, SEPOX is a member by the National Spatial Council and various committees of the Ministry of Environment and Energy, the competent authority for spatial planning. The goals of the Association include:

• Cooperation and exchange of information with national and international associations and organisations on issues of common interest.
• Promotion of the concept of integrated spatial planning with respect to the principles of sustainable development.
• Formulation and promotion of well-grounded proposals and reflections on important planning issues, policy design and implementation, planning enforcement, as well as issues concerning environmental management and protection.
