The Federal Chamber of German Architects (BAK) is an association of the 16 state chambers of architects in Germany. It represents the interests of around 140,000 architects, interior architects, landscape architects and urban planners at national and international level in dealings with politicians and the public. Even though architectural and building regulations are generally a matter for the federal states, many decisions are made in Berlin or Brussels.
