The Flemish Association for Spatial Planning and Planning (VRP) is working on broad support for quality and sustainability in urban development and spatial planning. The VRP is a professional association for Flemish urban planners and spatial planners. We serve as a platform and point of contact for every professional concerned with spatial issues. Our goal is to create high-quality, sustainable spatial planning by enhancing the capacity of spatial professionals through communities of practice. The core activities are oriented towards spatial planning practitioners. VRP organizes training courses, master classes, lectures, colloquia, think tanks and training series to disseminate our expertise and learn from experiences in the field. We also work behind the scenes. We look critically at spatial policymaking and formulate constructive advice. VRP also publishes its own magazine: RUIMTE (SPACE). The magazine is published quarterly, is richly illustrated and addresses spatial and urban planning themes in an accessible manner.
